Minus the first small assignment, didn't manage to grade a single thing till the final week of class. Exam in February, don't worry you won't get the grade back till May. Lectures were terrible and barely connected to content. Stole the slides from the previous professor and clearly hadn't reviewed them in depth before class. Worst professor ever.

Curves class so average is a B-nInsanely difficult exams that average is never above 75nKinda boring lectures nHe forgets that you're not his colleagues and accidentally writes tests like you're geniuses (quoted by TAs)

Took his Pop Gen class. Alan is okay. Pro: He knows his stuff. Con: He doesn't teach it very clearly for students, who, being students, have not had nearly as much experience as him in the field. He made the class buy copies of the manuscript he's hoping to get published soon. Not cool.

Wrote his own textbook for the course, and used us as guinea pigs for it.
