This professor does a lot for his students to succeed in his class. The subject is tough and the tests are hard but the professor is knowledgeable and able to explain these concepts clearly. His lectures are also engaging.

Great Professor; he prepares you for the quizzes and the final exam. Moves fast but he will slow down if you have questions.

Always almost late for everything, and asked for leave for too many classes. And if you are taking an online final, be ready for an noisy professor keeps talking to you.
10/27/2022
He constantly kept talking during the final, and acted indifferently to students. He over-squeezed the test time just to make it purely harder in a timely manner instead of testing your true understanding of materials. He grades you not by the score you earn, but by comparisons to peer students, and his class was tedious and lengthy! Unbelievable!

I felt frustrated by his class. I excel in my stuff, but his class was still dull to me. It was lifeless, lifeless, lack of interactions at all. And you can't believe he often publicly played with his feet during the class! (my friends have recorded it) He often played with his phone during lecture! And he doesn't reply to emails whatsoever.

when I was taking the final exam, I could always hear noise coming from the zoom, which is very disturbing

Sarkar gives great lectures. He has clear grading criteria. Quick response through emails.

Prof. Sarkar seemed as thought he was genuinely interested in the success of the students and was clearly passionate about the material. He was also very encouraging during lectures, in class exercises, and with regards to homework. He also was very open to identifying areas of improvement.
