Introduction to Biochemistry

BIOLOGICAL & PHYSICAL SCIENCES FOR PBPM

This course provides a basic understanding of the molecular structure of biomolecules, the metabolic processes by which these molecules are synthesized and degraded, and the energy produced to support cellular processes. It includes a study of enzyme kinetics and metabolic control mechanisms. Prerequisite: Chem 261 (either with lab or lecture only is acceptable) or permission of instructor. Priority given to students enrolled in the Post-Baccalaureate Premedical program.

Class is interesting, but definitely heavy on memorization for exams. If you know the slides you'll do fine. Attendance is also not mandatory or even really helpful

4-6 hrs/week

He's good at dad jokes which helps keep you semi-engaged in lecture. Class is very heavy on memorization, which is to be expected but the exams were (for the most part) similar to practice exams.

Exams weren't too bad, just make sure you stay on top of consistent studying.
