Friedenberg is intelligent and clearly knows her material. However, I would not recommend class with this professor unless you love economics and are already familiar with the subject. Otherwise, find another professor who can adequately introduce you to new material without complicating the subject further.

Her class was utterly horrible. She is very knowledable but cannot teach.

She is very smart but very awkward. She makes moderately hard material extremely hard to follow unless you are a natural. She wants to help but her takes her "Academic Integrity" rules WAY too strict and as a result they take away valuable resources that are normally taken advantage of such as TAs. I would take it with McDonald if possible.

I genuinely feel bad for her. No control over her class. Comands little authority. But she's a pretty bad lecturer - all over the place. Don't take this class unless you understand econ really well to begin with.

I normally have no problems understanding teachers and have never had any situation of that sort in my life before, but she was SOOOOOOO CONFUSING. She doesn't explain things clearly and makes basic topics seem faaaaar more complex than they actually are.

Worst Professor I've had so far. Terrible teacher, can't explain concepts, overly difficult problem sets, couldn't control the class. Nice lady, real smart, but not a person who I'd want to ever take a class with again...

She is really really nice - and I would have really enjoyed the class but there were a few big problems. 1 - the problem sets are hard and discouraging, and the ideas that people don't understand in the problem sets are never explained and then appear on tests. These tough problems make the class unpleasant, it would be much better if she explained

Don't get me wrong, Friedenberg is a very smart lady. But she really shouldn't be teaching. She has a terrible lisp and she can't explain anything. She makes everything more confusing and she's very inflexible in terms of grading. She makes class a chore, take the other professors if possible. Friedenberg just made an easy class that much harder.

Prof Friedenberg is REALLY SMART. BUT I feel that her explanations in class get a little confusing. But as people have said before me, she's amazing during her office hours. I would highly reccommend going then. Problem sets are really hard, but the midterm is a lot easier. Both professors for the subject aren't great, so I guess i reccommend her.

hahaha, professor friedenberg is hilarious. her laugh makes me laugh. Though she can get confusing and very conceptual inside of class, she is a great teacher outside of class. So i highly recommend going to her office hours.

She makes everything way more confusing than it should be. She is terrible at explaining things, though she does try with examples. Everything seems to be conceptual, and nothing seems to be for sure. For me, I just don't really understand this class.

THE worst teacher I've ever had. The material is NOT hard, but she makes it more confusing than you could ever believe. The woman, I swear, never has a set lesson plan and just talks as the words come to her, which comes out as babble. She's smart--she just can't communicate with other human beings.

Quite helpful, but makes class confusing for most people. Really theoretical, which is great for understanding the material. If you major is engineering or other logical disciplines though, you should be fine.

professor is very helpful and interested in students learning. She is really nerdy and awkward, but a good teacher. Problems sets and lectures cover what is on exam
