This is an excellent class — yes it’s hard, but it provided an outstanding base for understanding quantitative investment management and asset pricing — directly used nearly everything we learned during my internship and was well above peers in knowledge on the subject because of it. People complain about the problem sets but it’s just a hard field of study. Beats any Olin class I’ve taken hands down.

The problem sets were very difficult and were considerably weighted. The exam was also very challenging given the minimal content via lecture slides. Really was no way of practicing for the exams. Would recommend to stay away if possibile.

The problem sets can get super tricky and not follow what was done in lectures. The tests were solid and much easier than the problem sets. The class wasn't organized very well but definitely can provide some foundations. There are better classes out there to learn this material
