Chris Dorst

Professor Dorst was an excellent professor. His grading is clear and based on whether or not you know your philosophy, rather than some arbitrary evaluation of your argument. He is passionate and nice to all students. I took an extra philosophy class I didn't need for any requirements just to take another class with him.

Professor Dorst is a great professor, and is clearly very passionate about philosophy. Having never taken philosophy before this class though, I would say that I it wasn't really treated as an introductory course. I felt like many of the other students in the class were able to participate more easily because they'd had prior exposure to content.

If you go to class and do homework, you will do well. Content can be confusing, but Dorst is very accessible outside of class and will always answer emails.
