Professor Wang is very knowledgeable in his field and 232 is a very interesting and useful class. However, the lecture pacing is extremely fast and oftentimes hard to follow, which is understandable given the amount of content that needs to be covered. Homework can be really time consuming. Make a solid cheat sheet for exams and you'll be fine.

Very useful for circuit design involving diodes and transistors as well as broader applications with amplifiers and digital logic, but with a huge amount of material also comes with very little time to digest the content being delivered. Per a review from RMP, Professor Wang "runs a tight ship" during class and it does indeed feel like so much material is being squeezed into a semester. Wang also gives really good and succinct notes with great examples. Homework can be very time consuming, but AI recitation sessions are very helpful, as they help to clear confusions associated with certain problems that could be more involved than the examples covered in lecture. Make a really good and thorough cheat sheet for exams with detailed schematics and examples; they\'ll come in handy and are definitely worth the time considering that this class is very exam-heavy.

Midterm with a mean of 12.5 out of 25 and weight 25% in total grade. I will avoid at any cost if I know the midterm is such a nightmare. Too many contents for an 80-minute exam. The lectures are VERY fast and are filled with formulas and deductions. Idk why no one ever mentioned the difficulty of this course. Just be careful.

Professor Wang runs a tight ship during lecture and covers a lot of material in a short period of time. Explanations are clear, and notes are detailed. Responsive to e-mail, and very receptive to questions on the material. Homework makes you think, but is straightforward. You'll learn a lot. Tests are fair -- make a good reference sheet!

Professor Wang really knows his stuff and is a good teacher. Very helpful in class as well as office hours. Lectures can be very intense but you'll learn so much, plus homeworks are pretty straightforward, so if you work hard you should be able to get a good grade
