Dennis Des Chene

Professor Des Chene is awesome. Though he is pretty spacey and tends to go on long (but usually interesting) tangents, he is extremely smart and usually pretty good at explaining harder concepts. He's also a really nice guy and great to talk to about things other than class. The material he teaches I am not particularly interested in, however.

Knows his stuff, but boring lecturer. Enjoys it when students participate, however he does not make everyone comfortable enough to do so.

Meandering lectures, does not clearly dissect arguments, more of history of phil than true phil class, no discussion...really nice guy, knowledgable but poor teacher. I learned more from the TA. Take something else.
