Quality: 5Difficulty: 2MATH 2801

Amazing lecturer. The course is extremely well-structured. Homeworks, readings, quizzes, and exams are deeply connected. Homeworks are thoughtful and interesting, exams are pretty fair if you studied. Lectures are pretty interesting and humorous. He knows what is real math education!

Dr. Knese is a great professor. We went slow, but I think he values depth of understanding over quantity. He always asked us if we had questions, and was willing to push a lecture off if the class was confused about a topic/proof. His office hours could sometimes be awkward and silent, but maybe that was me. Lastly, he cracks some funny jokes.

Dr. Knese is an amazing professor. It was his first time teaching Math 203 and I think he nailed it. We went pretty slow in the beginning, but we started to pick up the pace throughout the semester. His homework questions aren't too bad (you can always go to his office hours for help). His exams aren't bad at all as long as you know the material.

(Took for 310, but that wasn't an option on the list) Prof Knese was awesome. As a transfer student who had already taken real analysis, I felt this class was quite difficult towards the end of the semester. However that isn't really his fault, and he did a great job engaging the class.

GK is great. His lectures are engaging, he is humorous and he genuinely cares about his students. If you want to do well in this class, you will. Make sure to finish all of the homework assignments and do the practice exams and you'll do well. Reach out to him if you have problems w anything, he's very amicable.

He's got a great sense of humor in class and lectures were pretty clear. The homeworks could be pretty tough at times, but the exams were not bad at all as long as you were comfortable with the theorems and concepts. He's a good lecturer and much better than most of the math professors I've had at WashU. Definitely would take a class with him again

Quality: 5Difficulty: 2MATH 3300

He is a laid-back professor, who doesn't take himself too seriously in class. However, that doesn't make him a bad instructor. He also does well to make you understand the "why" for what you're learning, instead of just the "how". Even so, the exams are pretty fair, and grading is reasonable. I would definitely recommend 309 with him.

Very funny teacher with a great sense of humor. Enjoys talking about the "deep" ideas of mathematics. He moved the class along at a somewhat slower pace than I would have preferred though.
