Readings, though helpful, are not necessary to survive the class conversations. Good discussions take place and he has good questions to spur them on. Not the most organized professor (very confusing syllabus), though he does grade papers in a timely manner.

Combines brilliant insight with an easy-going and anecdotal teaching style. He often forces students to ask good questions. He doesn't quiz on the specifics of what you read, (and you read a lot) but focuses on the central ideas and themes, which I like. Also, his voice is impossible to fall asleep to.

Very nice, wise, and relaxed professor. There are a large amount of essays and the readings are long, but he grades very easily if you put in the effort. You will learn political thought very well. Participation in class is expected and can be very interesting. Great professor and a person to look up to.

Great, great, GREAT professor. Really makes you think about what you're saying and doing and why you're doing so. Strongly recommend.
