Joshua Maurer

Friendly and willing to help, but lectures are not very clear. He sometimes makes critical mistakes during lecture, which make the problem sets impossible. His biochem course was very time-consuming and stressful, but if you need help he's willing to help.

An absolute Gem! I would take any of the other courses he teaches.

Maurer was a fair professor who expected a lot from his students. He went through the material very quickly, but never neglected to cover material that was on his tests. It was very easy to fall behind in his class, and doing so was to the detriment of many. His regrade policy was quite strict.

Really fulfilling class. He explains things really well and is a real fun guy. Do the work and class is very manageable.

Good man. Reinforces the important concepts well in lecture. Holds lots of help sessions and office hours. Exams can be hard to predict, but he provides tons of practice materials (old exam questions, POGIL sets) to help you get used to the tougher problems. If you're willing to put the work in, you can do well.
