This class was interesting, but the later topics definitely were not what I expected from a memory class which I found pretty cool. However the tests are pretty hard and he is not very lenient on grading them.

Good lecturer, very funny guy. Always willing to talk with you if you have questions. Not a life-changing experience, but great (especially if you're not a psych major)

Jacoby is pretty well-known in his field and he certainly knows a lot about memory. His lectures are sometimes very funny, oftentimes yawn-inducing, but the killer is the grading scale. No curve, 93 lowest A 90 lowest A-. Mean of the class is usually a 73, which is a C. Don't take this class with Orgo 261! Exams overlap to the day. Don't do it.

For some reason this class was difficult for me. I think it's because his tests are so short- if you miss something, you're basically already at a B. Gives way too many slides which are sometimes poorly organized. But the topic is interesting. For being near 70 (I'm guessing), he relates to the students well and keeps us entertained.

Lectures mildly boring and confusing...does not answer questions well and tries to be funny. Slide shows go a little fast so print them out ahead of time. Tricky exams. Interesting topic. I don't doubt his brilliance in the field, just his teaching ability.

never followed the slides he had us print, and was difficult to follow.

Larry Jacoby is incredibly accomplished and respected in the field of psychology. He's very intelligent and really knows what he's talking about. He uses a lot of examples and demonstrations to illustrate concepts, and he is always willing to answer questions if things aren't clear. All-around great professor.

Jacoby is extremely knowledgable and has years and years of experience in the field. He's got lots of stories and jokes that are funny if you share his dry wit. The material is difficult, and he doesn't always stick right to the book, but he's very willing to answer questions in lecture.

The material in this class is very interesting. Though Prof. Jacoby knows how to make the lectures not. He enjoys describing his college days as if he wants us to be able to better relate to him. His humor is also a little out there. If he just stuck to the material, I feel this would be a bit better class.
