Professor Schilling's lectures are extremely useful. The material is challenging, but she explains it clearly, stays organized, and works through problems step-by-step in class. I don't really find her rude; often students don't engage, and when she asks questions, many stay quiet on their screens. She's an excellent professor if you pay attention.

Professor Schilling teaches at a rigorous and detailed level and is always willing to explain examples thoroughly if students ask questions. While she may seem strict, this rigor benefits learning. Complaining about memorizing formulas in a derivatives course—especially for those pursuing quant roles—is unreasonable.

In this class, really recommend to study the material meticulously and come to the lecture even though they are optional

Professor Schilling is the worst teacher I've had. Idk how she's still teaching here, but her lectures are vague and high level without any explanation. Simply copy and pasted from a textbook. She doesn't respond or is vague and passive aggressive to students answering questions. She also violates her own syllabus policies. It is very hard to learn

Schilling is a difficult teacher. Her lectures are not of the highest quality, and she provides little information regarding exams. That being said, many of the ratings below are overblown; she is merely a bad teacher, not a nightmare.

Professor Schilling is the WORST professor I have ever had. She is inaccessible during crucial exam periods, shows no effort and treats students as an INCONVENIENCE, and is RUDE in response to student questions. Her lectures are incredibly disorganized and she is very unclear about what is and is not relevant to exams.

Worst professor I have had in 4 years at WashU, basically need to be a math PhD to somewhat understand this class.

Worst professor within the business school. Content is hard and strict grading on completion-based assignments. Lectures are all very confusing.

No curve at all, and your grade of 75% depends on the finals

The Mid-term consists of 11 multiple choice with a time limit of 80 mins. However, the final has 4 multiple choice and 10 essay questions in only 90 minutes. The course covers stochastic, derivatives, and finally Black-Scholes. Take this course if you like to challenge yourself.

Extremely hard final exam. 90 minutes for 10 short answers and 4 multiple questions. Avoid this prof's class.
