Lori Watson

I loved taking Professor Watson's class. The discussions were engaging and I enjoyed hearing her perspective, especially on her own research. She was also flexible on deadlines and listened to class feedback.

I took Dr. Watson for Philosophy of Law and she is my favorite professor I've had at WashU. She genuinely cares to get to know each of her students, and is so understanding/flexible. Her explanations of material are very clear and help explain confusing/difficult content. Also, her humor adds the perfect touch to her classes. 100% recommend.

I'd highly recommend taking a class with Professor Watson! The class is a lot of reading, and grades are based entirely on a few essays throughout the semester. However, it's definitely worth it; Prof. Watson's lectures make the material much easier to understand, and she's very flexible with deadlines. Readings are well-selected and interesting.

Professor Watson is great! - Attendance isn't mandatory, but it is 10% of your grade and the in-class lectures really help you out. - Be proactive about reaching out. Professor Watson is pretty lenient with extensions and gives good feedback on outlines; just be sure to chat with her outside of class.

Would definitely recommend a class with her. The readings aren't too heavy but definitely required, as it's pretty obvious who does the readings. A couple papers make up the entire grade but you have plenty of time to write them and gives clear feedback. The grade you get depends on the TA.
