One of the best Professors! He prepares the class carefully and you can feel he wants you to learn things from the class. The class is a little hard. He tries to use examples and practices to explain these complex terms. Overall, it is a good class and he is a good professor.

Accounting is naturally a daunting subject, but Professor Mathis is a great professor and I've really enjoyed having him. His lectures are super chill and he has a great sense of humor that he incorporates into his slides. He is always accessible outside of class, and you can tell he really cares about his students. Absolutely recommend his class.

Professor Mathis is the man. Truly the best professor I have had during my time at WashU. He wants every student to succeed, and will stop at none if you are willing. Exams are open resource, and the curve is quite generous. Very enjoyable lectures, especially since accounting is relatively dull. Just an all around great dude
