Really great professor and funny guy. He's super into the subject so he goes on rants, and sometimes is not the the most straightforward when he explains how to calculate things. But he is very smart and knows his stuff. He's pretty accessible, puts out a lot of study materials, and made class interesting sometimes even though I kinda hate micro.

Natenzon is one of my favorite professor's at WashU. His lectures were extremely engaging in my opinion and he always listened to student feedback. I do think the class could use more TAs but he hosts some office hours and you can ask him questions right after class. If you understand the content and do all the practice exams, you will do fine!

Incredibly nice professor, really enjoyed his lectures, and I thought he was fairly good at teaching the material. However, his exams are immensely difficult, and the bi-weekly problem sets are not especially easy, either.

The difficulty of this class is overrated in my opinion. Its true that Paulo is not a very good instructor (although a nice guy), I never paid any attention to his lectures, I think online videos and self-studying are more efficient for this class, and if you do his practice exams, the actual exams are very fair and manageable.

Paulo is a fine teacher. He cares more about his academic papers than actually teaching the class. He is a nice and funny guy but not the best teacher. His class is easier than the other MEC 290 Professors, so I would still recommend it over CDC's class. The class should be fine if you have already taken MGT 100

Office hours were useful but weren't sufficient enough for me. I did not learn from his lectures. Additionally the exams were difficult. Either learn MEC290 from another prof or be prepared to devote ## hours a week to his class. Again, Paulo is probably an amiable prof to do research with but his teaching isn't accessible for beginning microecon.

Very nice professor, but the class is definitely hard. I feel like I only did well because I had taken AP Micro and Macro in high school. I would recommend taking advantage of office hours

Prof. Natenzon is a REALLY nice guy. I have nothing bad to say about him as a person at all. He really cares about his students and is super personable. Regarding the content of his class, it can be really hard to understand and I think he does not always have the best approach in lectures when trying to explain the material. Great guy, hard class.

Great professor. Clearly very intelligent, and mixes humor into his lectures. Exams can be hard but certainly aren't impossible, just study. Some say stay away, but I like him and would like to take more classes with him.

I feel like he just does not understand student learning in the slightest. He just gives the formula or idea behind an economic concept with a little explanation and then expects the students to comprehend the application of the formula or rule with absolutely zero practice.

Brilliant teacher, but failed to acknowledge the lack of knowledge many students came into the class with. Homework was too hard and took a large group to understand what to do. Test averages were extremely low, but the curve did surprise me in the end with a much better grade.

Natenzon was extremely disrespectful and unfair towards us, especially as we transitioned to online learning in the time of Covid. When all other teachers were extremely accomodating, he made the class even harder and gave us less information. He did not even tell us our final exam scores, and released final grades with no curve information.

Class was structured as an experiment - exams varied greatly in difficulty especially once transitioned to online and multiple people received 0s. Grading scale was unclear - many students were surprised by their final grade. Lectures were less helpful than just self-studying for exams. He is resilient but was not prepared to teach the course.
