Rachel Slaughter

I loved Dr. Slaughter, she was awesome! From someone who is not an english major and struggles to write in general since high school, this class was amazing. The workload is very manageable and she is always there for help. If you have any worries about an essay, just go to office hours and she will help you!

Dr Slaughter was very lenient with deadlines and gave very good feedback to the point where the essays almost wrote themselves. I think giving out a rubric for every assignment would have been beneficial.

Dr. Slaughter raises the bar for WashU professors. If you want to learn something in CWP, take it with her.

Amazing college writing professor. Very lenient with deadlines as long as you show her you're putting effort into the class

had her for power and commodity culture. love how passionate she is (though she randomly screams whenever she gets too excited about whatever she's talking about, but oh my god it makes class so funny). gave us very interesting passages to read and it was a great class overall. love her!

Prof. Slaughter was amazing! She did these little voice inflections that always caught me off guard, but she gave very sound advice during office hours and was a fair grader. We were only graded by three papers, and she cares more about your work if you show up and participate. Great class!

This is the best English teacher I ever had. I learned so much! She is extremely helpful and well prepared. I definitely recommend taking her class if you have the option.
