Prof Esparza made WGSS so interesting and every lecture was captivating. He uses a combo of lecture and activities in class. Every reading connected to the topics (even if they were long). We covered so many topics and it touches on so many current issues. There is nightly readings/videos but they all can be used in the few papers he assigns.

Super engaging discussion based course with minimal work outside of class. Really makes you realize a lot about the world around you and I think is a class that should be required for everyone at WashU. Also not a lot of work or stress so would definitely recommend!!
