This is the most difficult class you will probably take at WashU. It is worth it, but you will literally need to study every waking moment. Focus on nailing lecture exams as lab grades weigh less. Prof. style is not for everyone and you should attend lecture every day. Getting an A isn't impossible, but it is not a walk in the part. Good luck

The professor made you feel like a bad student for asking question on the material. I took the second semester of organic chemistry (Chem 262) this spring with a different professor and despite teaching a class 8x larger than this class, I found him much more helpful and in touch with the students.

Took her class during the summer. She gives out extra credits in every exams. Her lectures are organized and fun to attend. Still, this is probably the hardest thing I have ever done in my life.

Took orgo during the summer, had no life for 2 months. But 2 years later, when I took the dental school test, I studied for orgo for 1 night, and got a 99% on it.

Despite Dr. Iha's excellent knowledge of the topic, her conduct in class is unprofessional. Complaints about salary and sarcastic, condescending answers to students' questions have no place in a classroom, no matter how knowledgeable the professor is. My advice: don't let the Wash U brand fool you, and take this course elsewhere.

Terrible . You go to lectures to copy what's on the board. No time to think or listen to what she says. Taking pictures of the notes is not allowed so if you miss something too bad. At least 1/3 of the class considered dropping towards the withdrawal deadline. Oh, and she'd gleefully tell you how much you'd suffer.

There is no course evaluations for this course so she wont take your input. Also she does not give out test mean scores and gives zero partial credits during exams. I heard that the course has gotten harsher than last year. Would NOT recommend taking this.

The class is brutal during the summer, but she does as good a job teaching as anyone could.

way too much material to cover in 5 weeks no matter who teaches it it is brutal. She cares about the students and tries her best. Average grades can range from 90 out of 100 to 13 out of 25. If you take the summer orgo class be prepared to have no life and no time for anything else until its done. It's like having finals week every week!
