he tried to be funny but he was not. class was overcomplicated. the solutions was not well-written and then he does a poor job in phrasing the language of those homework questions sometimes even. good person, but say things in a blunt way if you are wrong

Great professor. He is passionate about Asset Pricing and fills lectures with many anecdotes. He conveys the material clearly and will pause to answer questions. He is quite helpful during office hours.

The people who are reviewing did not go to class and apparently did not spend much time studying. I agree he was a difficult teacher to learn from, but his tests were absolutely doable if you understood the homework and reviewed them before the test. A lot of his lectures were overly complicated, but grasping the main idea was all you had to do.

It is obvious that Manuelli is a very good economist, but an awful professor. Lectures were absolutely useless, chock full of dense algebraic manipulation. Tests are quite difficult, but based exactly on homework problems. The topic coverage was also not fulfilling, and as an Econ major I am worried about what lies ahead.

He is the WORST teacher I've had in my entire educational career. Not only could I not understand him but he was a total jerk to our class. Whenever anyone asked a question, he simply scoffed and said we should already know the answer. WHATEVER you do, dont take a class with this terrible teacher!!!

Worst class ever. The notes are hard to read and the examples he gives are crazy.

he is hard to follow in class. full of himself. ruined my interests in economics

Teaches an undergrad class like it's a grad class. And to make it worse he is rude.

Worst professor ever. Avoid him at all cost. Very condescending. Not willing to help.

Manuelli is really smart but he's no great teacher. He quickly moves through his slides, which are filled with "unimportant algebra." In the end, all those derivations are utterly useless - you are better off memorizing the key equations and the practice problems. Critical thinking will only make you fall behind.

Here we have a incredibly intelligent professor that can offer the right students the best possible analysis of current macroeconomic theory. He is a very charismatic lecturer. However, you must WORK for this course. Without the right time commitment, the content quickly becomes a nightmare. Would recommend taking if you have to time to invest.
