Soczek

I like Professor Soczek as a person, but I think there is room for improvement in lecturing. His notes for classes are very much text heavy and he does not really do examples in depth in class (he says how to do it instead of showing how to do it). He is a great man with a great sense of humor. Be prepared to self-study (as needed).

Soczek is a great professor! While lectures may not have been the most interesting (I think more attributed to the course material itself), Soczek was enthusiastic and always provided examples, whether problems or real-world cases. Not a lot of work (if at all), and a lot of extra credit. A few tough exams and a slow grader, but good professor!

Terrific professor! Extremely helpful and entertaining in class. Grades too slowly, though.

I felt that the tests were unduly hard. Class lectures are all theory and the test is all application. DO THE HOMEWORK PROBLEMS and go to him for help. He's a nice guy who will definitely help you, but YOU have to go to HIM. Definitely a slow grader, but a fair grader. He tries to make the class easy for you, even though the tests are pretty hard

I really liked Soczek as a professor. He grew on me. Very nice and flexible guy who def. cared for the overall success of his students. Also learned a ton in the class. Tests were fairly difficult but Soczek prepares you well for them. Slow but generous grader. Also believes in learning for learning's sake, which is nice.

Soczek is awesome. He's probably the best professor I've had in college. His office tells all!!!

The best accounting professer at Olin. Classes are difficult, but well explained. Always has time available. Little slow to return grades, but great in every other respect.

This class is impossibly hard, but he is really helpful about it. He gives 3-5 years of back tests and is a lenient grader.

Great professor, great friend. Games in class to cut through the work. Give lots of back tests for studying. Very helpful.
