This is one of the few times where I felt like more than just a number. He wants you to succeed. If you have a chance to take a class with him, do it.

I liked the content, but I was frequently annoyed by the copious amounts and repetitiveness of direction giving. Not a bad experience, but I just didn't jive with Steve like I would've wanted to for a wgss class. I really appreciated the amount of feedback given on draft essays, as well as his understanding when it came to missing class/extensions.

Your professor ultimately makes or breaks your college writing class, and Steve was pretty incredible. The class was interesting and rigorous without feeling overwhelming. Steve is incredibly accessible outside of class and gives good, clear feedback on papers. Be proactive about reaching out, and you'll be fine. I'd 100% recommend Steve.

The class itself has a lot of boring readings but Steve makes it all more bearable. He's very understanding and will offer extensions/be flexible with you!

he gives harsh/helpful feedback, but he's not the worst grader. he really tries to accommodate to the students and gives extensions always. (I had him for power and commodity culture). go steve!
