She is the kindest lady, always willing to help you, and cares about her students. She is SUPER hard to hear during lectures, and the class is boring, and you will learn little to nothing. Be nice to her! She cares about students and loves statistics.

Professor Balan really cares about her students. She is super helpful and supportive as long as you reach out to her. Our group struggled with the final project, and she guided us step by step for 1.5 hours. Her classes are well-explained and engaging; she has a brief wellness session before each class and offers screen breaks. Highly recommended!
