Beth is truly a great professor. I took her Argumentation class having zero experience in similar courses, but her incredible teaching skills and attention to students quickly made the class one of my favorites. Aside from being a great human being, Beth is probably the best lecturer on this campus. She is witty, engaging, and very well spoken.

Beth is a fantastic professor! She is thoughtful of her students and always open to discussing your journey in the class and how you can best succeed. Participation is important due to in-class discussions, so spend time on the readings. Office hours are incredibly helpful and an excellent resource for the few papers that the course has.

Beth is a wonderful person, but her class won't be great for people who already know the subject unless the other people in the class are at the same level. She also doesn't provide trigger warnings for any of the content in the class despite there being several sessions that revolved around discussions of sexual assault and slurs.

Amazing!!! One of the most enjoyable courses I've taken at WashU. The discussions were great and I looked forward to them every week. Classes were very reading-heavy, especially for an intro class, but it's pretty doable if you don't do it all the night before. Classes are mainly discussion-based so attendance is super important. HIGHLY recommend!

"A real gem" is a spot-on description of Professor Windle. Not only is she fun and hilarious, she cares about each student individually. I suffered some health issues during the semester, and Professor Windle was incredibly accommodating while making sure that I never lapsed in my learning. Beyond being a great person, she always made class fun.

Professor Windle did a fantastic job of respecting every student and making all students feel welcome and comfortable in class. She exposed us to a wide variety of topics that expended our knowledge and led to intriguing discussions. I was so pleased with my experience that I am taking another class and with her next semester. Highly recommend

I had some of the most interesting discussions in my life in Beth's class. I've never had her for English, but Beth is incredible at teaching WGSS. She's really good at challenging your thinking in provactive ways but is also open to discussing ideas she disagrees with. She grades writing assignments pretty tough, but the midterm is super easy.
