This was an awful class with an awful teacher if you could even call her that. she doesn't know the subjects even after years of teaching the same content she still has to rely on an answer key to work through the in class problems. She is not helpful when you have questions about the content at all! Never take her if you can help it!

She's a great person, fun to talk to, funny, and genuinely cares about her students. She's flexible and open to suggestions and feedback with her teaching style, too. She does lecture insanely fast, though, and your grade is essentially made up entirely of exam performance. Overall, I think she is great and definitely over-hated.

During our lessons, the exercises she solved were straightforward. However, the exams were unexpectedly harder than she had prepared us for.

Does not know how to teach. Moves way too fast on slides during lecture. Students are left completely clueless which leads to awkward silence frequently

Kaplan is a nicer grader. Don't worry too much about grades in this class. His lectures I really like because he does the accounting problems with us in class. One thing I don't like is the evening tests we need to take. It ranges from 6:30pm or 7pm. Personally, around nighttime, my attention is not there, so this makes test-taking harder.

The course is heavily reliant on the textbook, and his teaching is okay, but a little too problem-focused in my opinion. He also gives two-part test. One part is a written take-home test you work on with a group, while the other part is a multiple-choice in-class test. Both are not too difficult, but again, heavily textbook-reliant.

Fantastic professor and makes the course content accessible and manageable for students. Would 1000% recommend taking his section for 2620.

Nice guy but not a good professor. Lack of clarity leads to self-teaching through textbook

Dr. Kaplan was a stellar. I found his input inspiring and his energy electic. I think every student could benefit from a class with Dr. Kaplan.

The material itself is not difficult; you'll easily get A if u work on it. No regular homework. Just exams and participation grades (u have to attend live zoom lecture with camera on and actually answer questions to get A). Her teaching style literally sucks. She doesn't know how to teach and cannot even explain clearly to easy questions.

Professor Rabier simply does NOT care about her students. The material is not difficult at all, yet she finds a way to make the exams unclear. Shes the most condescending Professor Ive ever had, and she cant even answer students simple question. All she does is ready off the PowerPoint.

Great with emails. But I don't like her teaching style, need to spend other time to watch pre-class lectures and spend lots of time just doing practice problems which is not the way I prefer to learn. Will not take her class again

Quality: 2Difficulty: 4Rabier

Her teaching method sucks with the style of having students watch lectures before class and doing practice problems in class. The content on her exam is not straightforward to the stuff you do in class. They are significantly harder.

MJ really cares about students and wants to be there for us personally. Really nice woman. However, I don't like the "flipped" classroom style with asynchronous lecture recordings and then the class is working on practice problems. Homework is optional, only grades are exams. Exams are straightforward. Good professor, bad class.

He's a really nice guy and is good at teaching the subject. He brings in a lot of practice problems and examples during class and has plenty of extra problems available during review sessions or online. Tests are straightforward and very similar to the problems he gives. I would definitely recommend taking him for 2620.

clear lecturer, fair (really easy) exams, accessible even outside of office hours. goes over practice problems in class, which is very helpful for learning the material really wants to see students succeed

As a new professor, he is trying to do well but I'd say there is huge space for improvement. typos in examquiz;the tendency to read slides;randomly changes grading criteria sometimes comes not so prepared(but may improve after he teaches this class more)

This semester is the first time that Professor Kaplan teaches this course, but he's absolutely doing an amazing job as a new lecturer! The material is explained very clearly, and a lot of in-class practice and review sessions are provided to help us catch up. Also, he always maintains a lively class atmosphere.

Professor Kaplan is great. This class is not the most interesting or entertaining but he makes the material relatable and always applies real life problems. He also offers lots of outside help.
