MKT 3770

Consumer Behavior

MARKETINGOLIN BUSINESS SCHOOL

A successful marketing strategy must be built around an understanding of consumers, and this same understanding can help consumers make better choices. MKT 3770 incorporates the latest research in psychology, marketing, and other social sciences to help students understand why consumers act as they do. In addition, this course includes a community-engaged learning component, so that students apply what they learn while they also help to meet a marketing need identified by a nonprofit community partner.

Nora is the sweetest! After getting out of her final test, I actually feel I've learned a lot from this course alongside tons of information to integrate into my own life. Very help course - I highly recommend taking it!

One of my favorite professors at WashU! I took Consumer Behavior with her and learned so much. She teaches in a way that's super digestible, so I've found that I remember a lot from her class. Professor Williams is a kind, well-organized, and engaging lecturer-- I would highly recommend taking a class with her.

Probably the most impactful class I took at WashU. Despite taking intro pysch and other marketing classes, Williams was able to take core pyschology concepts I already learned and provide valuable new insights. The examples, analogies, and data she presented allowed me to make connections that positively affected my personal values.

Elanor was one of the friendliest professors I have had at WashU. Her lectures were full of personal examples, interesting stories, and funny sidelines. I would love to take another class with her, so if you are thinking of taking Consumer Behavior, wait to take it with her!

Professor Williams is the sweetest woman alive! She is such a wonderful lady. The course content is extremely interesting, outside of class readings are minimal and easy/fun to read, and the quizzes are a breeze and truly reinforce the content from class. Also, the class group project is really cool. One of my fave classes!

Prof. Williams is new but she's already proven to be a great professor. Her lectures strike a solid balance of humor & intellect. She has a ton of passion for the subject she teaches and is genuinely kind and willing to help. There are many readings, but quizzes aren't a huge part of the grade nor are too challenging as long as you study properly.

LeBoeuf is one of my all-time favorite professors. She gives amazing, engaging, and clear lectures. She provides relevant and fun examples for consumer behavior and makes class fun! She also takes feedback from students to incorporate in class and also gives great feedback on assignments. I HIGHLY recommend taking consumer behavior with her!

Great class overall but VERY tough grader. Very interesting material but don't expect to get an A....Take this class if you are genuinely interested in consumer behavior.

My favorite professor and class at WashU. Might be one of the only classes I've ever taken where I looked forward to going to class. It is definitely not an easy A, but Goodman is very very smart, his lectures are entertaining and interesting, and if you're marketing major you MUST take his class.

classes were entertaining and i felt like i learned a lot but the tests are graded so ridiculously hard that it is VERY hard to get a good grade- for some questions i put exactly what was on the slides in class and only got 3/5. he's very helpful for projects, etc.
