Great guy, the most important aspect of taking a class with him is creating a relationship with him and utilizing connections. otherwise, the material is interesting, but knowledge of the material is graded horribly on tests. attend class and participate.

He grades you on dumb assignments and exams that test your sheer memorization of specific things that will likely have no value moving forwards, and then has bizarre grading criteria. He is a good lecturer but there is no material to back it up, and then we are expected to memorize like 10 different lists that say effectively the same thing.

A really interesting guy that obviously knows his stuff - he founded the company that put the yellow first down line on football broadcasts. Name drops a lot, but that didn't really bother me. Pretty boring lecturer - the class is basically three hours of him talking at you, and he does expect a certain familiarity with sports.
