Introduction to Macroeconomics
Business fluctuations: inflation, recession; monetary and fiscal policy; economic development. For a thorough introduction to economics, "Introduction to Microeconomics" should also be completed.

Yes some of his teaching isn't the best but as long as you go over the slides, homework, quizzes, class tasks, etc. then you will be fine. He really does want his students to do well and is very helpful in office hours. He cares and wants you to succeed!

He is not the best professor ever in terms of teaching, but the contents are relatively easy to understand and easy to get an A (he gives out a lot of extra credits). Homework are not long, and he gives reasonable time to complete it. Exams are not super difficult and very similar to practice exams and in class activities.

For the love of god please save yourself. He is a nice person, sure, but he does not understand the material he's teaching and makes countless mistakes during lecture. He takes long pauses to understand the slides and is authoritative. Do not go to class it will make things astronomically more confusing than it needs to be. Worst professor to date.

Very knowledgeable professor who conducts the course at a great pace. He comes off as very thoughtful and truly wants his students to succeed.

I don't understand the other half of the ratings for this professor on this site. His teaching of ECON 1502, at least, should be rated nowhere near a 5. When students ask him questions after class, his explanations are always unclear and sometimes even incorrect. He tries to include some jokes in class lectures, which sometimes backfire.

I've learned close to nothing from his lectures. Do NOT take this course with this professor unless you want to self study his hundreds of slides before exams. I don't even think this professor has the knowledge capable of teaching the materials to students.

His lectures are extremely confusing. He is failing to reach the bare minimum of teaching extremely easy concepts. He also frequently makes mistakes that cause students to cast doubt on their understanding of the material.

His lectures are extremely boring and sometimes confusing. He is not great at explaining concepts or answering questions, but he's pretty funny and nice to students. The class material itself is pretty easy but it felt like I had to self-teach the course because the lectures are so bad.

This class was genuinely unenjoyable. Lectures were confusing and difficult because the professor often seemed unsure of what he was teaching. Mistakes were common, which made everything more frustrating than it needed to be. I would strongly advise waiting to take this course in the spring with a different professor for an easier experience.

His lectures are extremely boring and often confusing due to frequent mistakes in class and on exams. Students regularly have to correct him, and he often pauses to stare at his own graphs because he seems unsure of what he is explaining. While the exams are not difficult, they consistently contain errors, making grading frustrating.

Nazmul is hilarious and truly cares about students, especially ones who put in effort in lectures. I was able to get on a first-name basis with him pretty quickly in a large lecture. Good professor, easy class.

Do NOT take his class. Lectures are very boring, and he cannot articulate concepts clearly. Exam questions are so confusing with multiple correct answers. Nevertheless, this class is extremely easy as long as you self-study and review the slides and homework.

This course was frustrating from start to finish. The professor gives exam questions that almost nobody gets right, including ones with multiple correct answers after telling us there would only be one. Explanations in class are unclear, and the lectures are copied slides with very little time spent on the concepts that actually matter.

Nazmul is a great professor. You can tell he is passionate about his subject. The class has a textbook but you don't really need to read it. There are quizzes that are worth not much of your grade, homework with unlimited attempts that are worth more, and heavily weighted tests. If you pay attention and take notes (office hours too) you'll be fine.

Dottie's class is really interesting. She makes office hours very accessible. If you have a willingness to learn, you can get a lot out of this class.

Cannot believe I skip all lectures but still get an A+......Attend this class with friends bc there are great amount of group works.

Class was a really easy A. He was a chill guy, but sometimes he would use dad-joke-style analogies and class would be a little awkward.

Very passionate about what she does!!! If I had to take any Econ class, I would 100% take it with her
