Prof Essner is a good choice. It is a lot of work but you will get a lot better at writing. She gives really helpful and specific feedback on every single assignment and its clear that she puts a lot of effort into the lectures. If you aren't ready to work at the level required take a different prof, this definitely isn't the person to slack off on
