Reviews
Great class. I gained some skills that boosted my confidence when it comes to writing and also giving presentations.

I liked going to this class most of the time because she changed things up and it was usually something different. She also gave really good feedback and let students revise their work for a higher grade.

I like that she always tried to get everyone involved in the class discussions, and I learned a lot about technical communication that's already been helpful. Her class went by pretty fast because her lectures were interesting and we worked in small groups a lot. She's a cool person too.

Very nice person and very caring about her students. As a teacher, she was ok. Didn't really learn that much or felt engaged. The class itself is not entertaining so that's not her fault. Outdated and unhelpful resumes and cover letters during the career unit. Don't procrastinate on the final report, or it'll be a pain to finish during finals week.

Hamilton gives pretty bland, borderline monotone lectures. He's a bit of an awkward fellow, but not in the charming way, more in the sit-in-silence-for-30-seconds-while-he-waits-for-someone-to-react-to-his-joke way. I wouldn't say I learned anything from the class. Assignment expectations are arbitrary and at times unreasonable. Easy grader though.

Prof Essner is a good choice. It is a lot of work but you will get a lot better at writing. She gives really helpful and specific feedback on every single assignment and its clear that she puts a lot of effort into the lectures. If you aren't ready to work at the level required take a different prof, this definitely isn't the person to slack off on

Really loved Prof. Meyer! Obviously very intelligent and knows a lot both inside and outside of his field! He is the first professor that I have come across that I believe sincerely respected the students in the room. That was refreshing! Really glad I took tech writing with him!

Are you looking for a class where all the busywork you do gets dropped into a black hole? Look no further.nFeedback? None. nGrades? Definitely not.nInformative and coherent lectures? You're asking for too much already.nnFrom the bottom of my heart, don't take a class with Prof Kim. She has good intentions, but you will get nothing out of it.

Very caring and funny guy. Reminds me of my grandpa. Attendance is required and instead of providing a typical rubric, he goes over the grading criteria during lecture, so you have to take notes and pay attention if you want to do well on the assignments. This class is relatively easy in terms of content but will take up a lot of time (6-12hrs/wk).

Definitely one of the greatest courses ever taken. Prof. Rosenberg brought us more stuff than a typical technical writing class could give, including public speaking skills, interesting group projects, and high-efficient communication tools. He is humorous and caring as well! Nice and chill every class~

I'm kinda shocked to see that people gave Brumbaugh below a 4. I took ENG 310 and 4502 with her, and I loved both. Lectures aren't super useful, but I strongly believe that to be a product of the material, rather than Brumbaugh's ability as a teacher. She's knowledgable, articulate, and the nicest professor I've had at WUSTL. Highly recommend.

Nice professor. Class is very useless and takes too much time. At least two assignments per week, half of which she won't even grade. They are very confusing too. There is something different every week. Some people might find that fun but I didn't like it. Don't take this class if you have a busy semester. Your other classes deserves more time.

Professor Matteucci gives students one-on-one attention throughout Tech Writing. She is an easy grader, and her comments are helpful and constructive.

I didn't mind her for Tech Writing. I enjoyed going to class because she's very nice and has a good personality, but the class itself is TOTALLY USELESS. I learned absolutely nothing. Doesn't explain assignments too well. Also, she taught so many classes this semester that she clearly didn't have time to thoroughly read anything we turned in.

I enjoyed having Brumbaugh for tech writing. She was fun and pretty laid back. Sometimes she would see the class was stressed and cancel class, etc. Pretty easy grader too.
