Great professor! She's very sweet and always makes class interesting. You can tell she really cares about her students. Highly recommend.

Even at the very end of the day, this class was always lively and fun. Although there was a lot of homework, she was always full of energy and tried to make class enjoyable by playing games with new vocabulary or finding new and interesting ways to practice grammar. I cannot recommend more!

Great professor. Really cares for students and offers extremely clear guidelines and expectations. She expects you to speak in Spanish, but that shouldn't be surprising. She was always upbeat and excited to teach! Definitely take her class!

Prof Swick is one of the best Spanish professors I have come across at Washington University. While she can sometimes seem a bit condescending, she is excellent at explaining the rules of Spanish grammar to non-native speakers (a skill that few foreign language professors here possess). Also, she keeps the class busy so you are always entertained.

Professor Swick can sometimes come off as impersonal and impatient. Sometimes class is conducted in a disorderly fashion.

She is super nice and really wants everyone to do well. Extremely reasonable grading and super nice work load. She has so much energy, really makes it easy to sit there and go over grammar and vocab 82 times without wanting to off yourself.

Señora Swick is amazing! She cares a lot about her students and it is obvious that she really wants every one in her class to actually understand the language and enjoy using it.

Senora Swick is very energetic and involved- she loves Spanish and her students. She makes class interesting and is always available for help. An excellent teacher for any beginning Spanish class.

Very energetic. Good intentions, but activities got annoying and the class often felt like high school.
