Amazing professor!! I have taken all of the classes he offers, and he makes them all incredibly interesting (even while tackling tough topics). Amazing mentor and lecturer, he really cares about his students.

Kundel is a good professor and he cares about his students. I think sometimes he can be unreachable which is frustrating, but overall he is a decent professor. I really enjoyed his lectures and found the content he taught to be very digestible.

One of the best professors I have had. Makes the class very enjoyable and all the grading is very fair and allows for mistakes. Exams ask detailed questions but if you are familiar with the material you will do well. Overall great and if you have to take a bio class as a requirement I would choose his class.

Dr. Kundel is a great lecturer, and honestly makes the course extremely enjoyable. He himself explains concepts clearly and is readily available outside of class for the 100's of questions that come up during the timeline of this course, especially considering the copious amounts of writing. Grading is often unclear sometimes, but the class is fun

Combined with a great lecturing style, Kundel's slides digestibly break down content in a detailed and pattern-focused manner. Grading is fair, tests not too bad. Take home quizzes every other Thursday similar to Gen Bio, but easier. Some EC given. When one lecture didn't record properly, he went out of his way to re-record the lecture offline.

One of my favorite classes at WashU! Dr. Kundel is exceptionally caring and creates a uniquely supportive environment for exploring and learning even with challenging material. This class is very hands-on and time-intensive, but Mitch is with you every step of the way. Be aware that grading criteria for papers can be pretty vague though.

PCS is one of the easiest Bio classes at WashU, quizzes and exams are pretty easy (averages on both allowed you to get an A provided you completed extra credit survey, problem sets and poll everywhere). No HW, lots of extra credit, and problem sets had unlimited attempts so if you messed up you could just resubmit.

Kundle is a great professor and this class is very good prep for 2960. However it’s a lot of work and the content is not easy but is very interesting. Must pay attention in class.

I love Kundel. Probably the best lecturer I've had at WashU. Class was organized so well with ample opportunity to get help and get the best possible grade. I learned a lot too.

Best professor hands down. Made every concept super clear and easily digestable. There is alot of content but if you take it piece by piece and study a little bit everyday--golden. He was extremely kind, so passionate to help people learn, and very accessible within and outside the classroom.

Really interesting course, Kundel and Lube were good lecturers. Exams weren't that easy, but very possible to do well if you put at least some effort into studying. Problem solving session on wed during classes helped boost grade. There were also 8 or so canvas quizzes you take outside of class time.

Dr. Kundel is an amazing professor who changed PCS for the better. The class is super chill, which makes learning the content less stressful and more enjoyable. Exams were fair. Extra Credit is given. 92+ is an A.

PCS is definitely content heavy, but Kundel made it easy to get help outside of class and succeed in the course. Definitely take a class with him before you leave WashU. He is passionate about biology and an engaging lecturer.

Took Molecular Biology of Genetic Disease. If you don't watch the lectures outside of class, you are screwed, but they are only 20 min and help guide you through the class. He is a great teacher and super understanding for extensions. AI's are actually clueless tho.

Awesome lecturer, really cares about his students! 1500 is easy if you are willing o put in effort.

Awesome professor and really caring guy who genuinely cares about the well-being of students. Lectures are great too and it is an overall great introduction to biology.

Really nice guy. I would definitely take his course again.

Really nice guy, grading is tough, and the AIs are clueless. I could really see me and him being friends outside the classroom, he's super approachable.

Love Kundel; he is approachable, excited to teach! I would go to him for questions about biology lecture.

Easy going and great at breaking down the course material. Tests and quizzes match exactly the content in class, so as long as you put in the work by watching lectures and participating in class, you will do just fine.

Great professor. Would take again, he is very accessible outside of class and I was usually the only one at office hours! Biology is challenging for me but he explained things without making me feel stupid and I appreciate that.

he gives lectures that you have to watch before class which explains everything clearly, then opens discussion in class to clear up any remaining questions. You can also set up office hours with him on zoom or in person, which was really helpful to me. But don't rely on anything last minute, sometimes he takes a bit to respond :D

An interesting class that is not a huge stressor grade wise. Well structured so due dates were very clear. Kundel is a very nice professor that actually enjoys what he is teaching. Sometimes a hard/picky grader but manageable.

Very helpful during class and was very approachable. Was a difficult grader but provided good feedback. The class material was very challenging but he did a great job being accessible to students.

Mitch is the best. He's super helpful and explains things well in lab. I wish I had room to take more classes with him :(

Dr. Kundel is an amazing lab instructor. He truly cares about how his students are doing, and is more than willing to meet outside of class to discuss either lab material or lecture material. He is super helpful in lab, funny, and an overall great professor. If you can take his lab section, do it-I can't recommend him enough!

Kundel rocks. Super nice guy who loves teaching and cares about his students. He actually wants his students to learn, rather than just perform for tests. Glad I took his lab section.

Dr. Kundel taught my 2960 lab section and he did a great job. His lab lectures were clear and he was good at fielding questions clearly. He also checked in with each group several times making sure things were going well, which was nice.
