Moore was a great and engaging professor! Her lectures are a bit fast paced, but if you do the problem sets every other week, go to office hours for them, and review her slides before exams you’ll do just fine.

Moore is awesome! It is a difficult class, but it is 5 credits. If you take the time to study, you'll do great!

His grading criteria is difficult and he does not give 100%s. The highest you'll get on an assignment is a 94%. This class was really fun but covered niche topics like Furries, Rooftoppers, etc (don't know when I would use this irl). He's funny and acts really unprepared. Generally easy to get an A and i would take a class with him again.

Moore is kind and cares about his students. Grading on papers can be ambiguous and assignments can be vague. For most of the semester he uses extremely specific case studies which you have to apply to other topics in papers. Lectures are not slides based. Students do most of the heavy lifting in class. Recommend for SOC majors.

Prof. Moore is a great professor! He's very invested in your work and successfully tries to be accommodating to the class. His workload was a little heavy compared to other courses that I have taken, but overall I would recommend him.

Definitely recommend Professor Moore and Film and the City. Fascinating + thoughtful syllabus, engaging assignments, manageable workload. Take this class if you like thinking about urban planning through the lens of movies.

Prof Moore is very caring of students and fun lecturer. We only have two short papers in the semester, and he has clear expectations in terms of the structures of papers (which makes the work much easier). Be ready to wear masks in class though, as the his body condition requires.
