His class is a little bit slow, which is perfect for statistics beginners but might be a bit boring if you have statistics background already. Not a lot of homework, and they are quick to finish too. The exams are pretty straightforward and similar to the examples he goes through in class.

Dr. Nestojko was so fun in class and always available for questions. I had issues during the semester, but he was always willing to assist me in whatever way he could. I will say that the exams do impact your grade quite a bit. I did struggle in the class but not because of Dr. Nestojko and I would definitely take one of his classes again.

2 or less hrs/week
Heavy on the dad jokes which is nice but there are a lot of small assignments (if you don't forget to do them and stay organized, they give a nice boost to your grade). Went to almost every lecture and studied for < 4 hrs the night before every exam. Ended the class with a 98.

live laugh nestojko. that man is fine idc 😁. oh and the class was pretty good too.🤣 content is so easy. u do not need that textbook. go to class and he will overexplain so much u could get up and take over for him. or don’t go and watch online on 2x speed. either way, u will do just fine 😭

exams not hard, easy to do well with all the weekly quizzes and minor assignments. as long as you try and go to class very manageable

never read the textbook and never went to class. got a 95

Three major tests but no final exam. Lots of mini assignments around twice a week but really easy to do well. Nice professor. Classes are recorded and materials are well organized on canvas

I took Psych300 and Psych301 with Nestojko (in different semesters). Psych300 will be a cakewalk for most people, especially if you have prior stats experience. Psych301 is a ton of work especially in the second half of the semester, but Nestojko does a great job of supporting students and teaching them the content in an engaging way.

His lessons are engaging and understandable. In his larger lecture based classes, he tries to maintain engagement, but he is better at facilitating that in a smaller class setting. He won't try to trick you or make the material too hard to learn, which other professors will do at Wash U. He's very social, which took some time for me to get used to.

Nestojko gave me weird vibes. Sometimes he was extremely nice and caring, other times he came off as insanely passive-aggressive. The class itself was pretty easy, even if you have no stats background. Very lecture-heavy and can get boring. Lots of mini-HW assignments throughout the week, but they help prepare you for exams.

Easy lectures, 2x speed voice, & sweet BUT don\'t get him "mildy irritated". Records lectures, attendance is counted randomly with polls. So... not many people showed up to class recently and he got upset about it. He moved an assignment originally due in the weekend to the same day and did not upload the recorded lecture on purpose because of this.

Lectures can be a little dry but that has more to do with the content and less to do with the professor (you can only make psych stats so interesting). Nestojko does a wonderful job at explaining concepts clearly in a manner that is very easy to understand. Would recommend for anyone looking for an easy statistics or NSM credit class.

Nestojko is an amazing professor. He is very organized and friendly and is great at explaining concepts. There are lots of homework and group projects, so be prepared.

Best professor I've had at WashU; he is engaging, funny, caring, and an excellent teacher. There is a nice balance of lectures, reading, and assignments in Psych300

This man is an angel. He is the most caring and amazing professor on this campus. He is an amazing lecturer and really cares about his students so much. His experimental psych class is hard (not his fault) but he is great.

Dr. Nestojko has probably been my favorite professor at WashU so far. He is a dynamic, funny, caring lecturer who can make a class as dull as stats a good time. Not only this, but Dr. Nestojko makes his expectations clear at the beginning and is always willing to be a resource to help you succeed.

I'm a psych student, not particularly interested in stats. As such, I didn't find the class very interesting, but it's probably the most ideal stats class offered. Nestojko is super nice and has great dad jokes, and the workload isn't crazy. Your grade is mostly based on 4 tests, so you need to study, but you can bring 2 pages of notes to exams.

Although this class seems to be a lot (you have to write two nearly 18-page papers throughout the semester), he gives plenty of feedback to help you do well. I attended office hours nearly every week during the times that we had to write the papers and I did very well. He does a great job of helping if you go to him to ask for it.

I took stats and experimental during a really difficult time in my life, and I really struggled w/ the material. Dr. Nestojko was so patient w/ me & always made sure that I understood the material. He made dry, boring material as interesting as possible, and he's a firm but understanding professor. Be prepared for dad jokes! Love him!

Such an incredible professor! Learned so much in this class and was excited to take another class from him. Highly recommend!

While he definitely was caring with this pandemic with deadlines for exams, this class was full of busy work. Tests arent too bad, but sometimes the wording of some questions isnt so great. This class was just very ok, not extremely remarkable.

Genuinely cares about his students & is SUPER understanding. Exams are easy, they're exactly like the study guides. There's a lot of HW, but doing them helps on exams. HW is not super difficult as long as u watch lecture. I really appreciate him considering the mental health of his students & allowing extensions on assignments. God tier professor!!

I never leave reviews for my professors, but Nestojko really stoked my ire. The amount of busy workquizzes, Jasp assignments, etcis absurd. Not only that, but Nestojko is awful at explaining these concepts. Sure, the exams are easy, but it really feels like this professor never respected his students and their time.

Best thing about Dr Nestojko? Hes accessible. I emailed him in a panic at 2am the night before a paper was due. He responded in 10 minutes. Kind, funny, and a great lecturer. I recommend him for both psych stats and experimental psych. One of the best professors at WashU.

a cheery, positive demeanor can carry a sometimes-dull subject like psych stats very high-- nestojko does just that. a great instructor, and honest with students. during this whole quarantine thang, he constantly reassured his students that he'll do anything possible to make the learning experience easier on his students. warning:has many dad jokes

I have never written a review for a professor on this platform, but Dr Nestojko's is one of the best professors at Wash U. He is extremely accessible outside of class and cares deeply about his student's success. It's not a show up and get an A type of class (you need to study and do well on exams), but it is very reasonable if u try.

Ive taken two classes with Nestojko and both were great. Experimental is a potentially difficult class and he made it easy and entertaining. He is a funny and engaging lecturer and the test and quiz material comes almost all from the slides. I recommend taking any class you can with him

Awesome prof -- super prepared, knows what he's talking about, funny, and tests are very reasonable. Only downside is that there are 5 exams, which is a lot, but online assignments/homework can boost your grade. Not the most interesting class, but he definitely does his best to try to make it not painfully dry.

Professor Nestojko is a great professor! He cares about each student as an individual, gives great feedback, and is pretty chill.

A great instructor! Very open and involved, by far my favorite professor.
