Quality: 5Difficulty: 3PSYCH 3530

Professor Larsen is extremely knowledgeable about psychology, especially his specialty in personality psychology. The lectures can have difficult concepts to grasp but Larsen is good at making them digestible, especially for someone like me who never took psychology before. He is very helpful and wants his students to suceed.

Dr. Larsen is a terrible teacher. He spends most of the lectures talking about himself and how "awesome" he is, while spouting off many problematic and offensive comments. His exams are brutally difficult for the level that the course is listed at, and because he does a bad job of explaining material the questions are very difficult to understand.

He is very nice but Personality Psych is SO BORING. He rambles on like nothing I have ever seen and manages to teach nothing. The tests are very hard compared to a standard psych test and he grades on a weird curve that no one understands. Even if you go to class and read the textbook you will still probably be confused the entire semester.

Most of his lectures were somewhat boring, save for personality psych, but his test was by far the easiest of the course. Lecture and exam content can almost entirely be found in the textbook, although I'd advise attending the lecture b/c that will actually save more time s.t. you wouldn't have to read the textbook.

He taught the third of three sections of Intro and his unit was by far the easiest. Lectures were pretty dry and boring until the classes on personality psychology, which is his expertise. He is extremely knowledgeable and always accessible outside of class.
