Don’t take this class just for an easy A, as the tests account for so much of your grade. You have to study rigorously for them and devote a lot of time outside of class just to make sure you understand all material as there is a lot of it

TAKE FALL SEMESTER! Fall is much easier than spring. Not as easy as it used to be but you can definitely get an A without going to class if you study a lot the nights before. It’s annoying you can only get 10 points off the entire semester between all the exams. 92.95 is still a A-, and they will not round.

LOVE MY BOI BERGSTROM (such an amazing lecturer)

If you are wanting a funny guy you'd like to be friends with, take a class with Dr. Sommers. If you value your education and GPA, your test grades will thank you for taking classes elsewhere. Class is extraordinarily easy, but the exams are exceptionally difficult and cover course material never discussed.

Very nice and good at giving examples for psychological concepts.

Dr. Sommers seems to be a nice guy who is good at lecturing until you take his exam, which has concepts not covered in class or the textbook. The irony of this class is that psychology encompasses fundamental principles of learning, yet Sommers WONT give you slides, lecture videos, notes, practice exams, or virtually anything to help you learn.

His lectures were indeed engaging and fun, the problem is they don't even cover half of the material tested. Operant conditioning was tested although it was supposed to be covered the week after the exam. He promised the class before the exam that it would be based on lectures. Well that was a positive punishment for me for believing him.

Bergstrom is an amazing professor and also a really nice guy! He genuinely cares about his students and wants them to succeed. Very humble, and admits when things are wrong / need changes. There is a lot of textbook reading assigned in this class, but as long as you read them and pay attention in class, you'll do fine. Really enjoyed 100B!

Took this course Fall 2023 when quizzes were still taken online and open note and textbook. Was very easy then, but I know that the course has changed to have quizzes in person. This is NO LONGER an easy A course. I don’t know how difficult it is now, but expect to put in effort if you want a good grade. Only look at reviews from Spring 2024 onwards if you want an accurate overview of the class.

The exams were SO HARD. Class average was a 70 on the first few exams. Mandatory attendance Iclickers, but learning checks are easy/completion. 2-4 hours/week to account for exam prep.

I took this class when it was still a joke - was a breeze. I never went to class and just took weekly quizzes with no final.

Sometimes I would get lost in lectures, just because he would deviate from the slides a lot. But, overall, if you are in tune, he is an awesome professor!

Was my favorite of the 3 Intro to Psych professors. Tests can be a little tough but you should do very well if you pay attention in the lecture and look at the slides. Nice sense of humor in lectures.
