The best professor in the CSE department. Enthusiastic about what he does, and makes lectures funny and informative. Easy to follow, fun to talk to, and extremely helpful and supportive to his students. His lab is a fun environment to work at, and he is even more amazing outside of the classroom than inside.

My best professor this semester. Funny and interesting. He understands the material very well. But the course is way too easy, at least for me.

Fun, quirky teaching style. Pretty fair expectations, although problem sets can be very challenging without help. Don't miss class. Definitely shows his love for computer science and enjoys talking about his/other professors' research.

I learned more about Algs and Data Structures in this course than 241. He's SO smart and funny, I looked forward to this class every day. Uses great analogies to help students understand.

Somehow this man makes proofs and all these weird logic statements fun! Really enjoyable class environment, not too difficult, fair grading, and surprisingly interesting/useful material.

Dr. Pless is hilarious. 240 was a fun class, but the material seemed to wander around, without being very focused. Dr. Pless really knows his stuff though.

He is such a funny great guy. The class is difficult, which kind of takes you by surprise, but he knows the material really well, and has such a quirky teaching style. This was my favorite class to attend when I took it, just because he was so cool.

His test-taking policies are awesome (open-chalkboard!), his explanations are very clear, and he is funny and good at explaining things. The only problem I had with this class is that he made it seem too easy, so I was a little shocked when it suddenly became more difficult than anticipated halfway through the semester.

Not well organized, the homeworks became pretty hard, but the lectures were easy to follow and he answers your questions if you ask.
