Reviews
Gonzalez is an easy going professor, and he was always willing to help students. I was genuinely interested in the class, and I'm glad I took MKT370 with him. The exams are easy if you know the basic class concepts.

This class is deceptively difficult. There is basically no homework and quizzes until one final exam at the end of the semester. While the content is somewhat interesting, it's a lot of content to study for on top of a very strange final presentation. You also have no clue what your grade is until it's posted at the end of the semester.

Great class. Graded almost completely on participation which makes reading and understanding the weekly cases very important. There are also two business simulation assignments that are pretty straightforward that make up the rest of your grade. Overall very easy class that taught me a lot. Professor Chun has a great witty attitude that makes the class engaging while also being very informative. My favorite class at WashU so far.

Very manageable. Lectures can be dry but not difficult. Buying the textbook is not necessary because everything you need is on the class slides. Johanek is kind and friendly

While this class has almost 0 homework, your grade is only participation and online simulation exams in which you get three attempts to do well on it (and they're SUPER HARD). If you've never taken upper level Olin classes this is a pretty challenging class.

It was her first-semester teaching. It is a very easy class, although the lectures can get boring. There was not much work throughout the semester. This is probably the easiest class I have taken at WashU

She cares about her students and marketing. She is willing to make sure all her students understand her course and it's an easy class.

Professor Chun is a good professor, and his class is interesting in helpful. Participation is important, as its a large part of the grade. However, the midterm and final are unfair in my opinion, as they are simulations that deal with things not dealt with in class. If you don't understand them, he provides no help on them either. Beware of this.

Professor Chun is an amazing teacher for Principles of Marketing. It is a case-based class and you get really in-depth and learn practical applications which were interesting. He will really like you if you participate and interact with him. He is a great resource. Only two take-home exams that are pretty fun to do.

Professor is very nice. He's accessible during his office hours, and his tests are relatively easy if you pay attention to his class. Lectures can be boring, but it's comprehensive. You can always access his slides a few hours before your class period.

You'd think a professor who has spent their career studying social interactions would know how to a) be nice & b) engage their class but...here we are

She has high expectations on students and takes points off easily from smallest mistakes. But when it comes to her own work and powerpoint she seems less strict with herself.

Johanek uses her personal experience to enrich the class. I appreciated all of the feedback we were given on our projects, and she really helped me enjoy Marketing even more. She appreciates hard work and participation, and if you try your best, she will give you a good grade in the class. I highly recommend taking a class with her!

Professor Lapuka is a super nice guy that genuinely wants to get to know his students. The class is basically lectures with several group projects throughout the semester to apply the material. He does cold call students, but it's to ask for opinions, not to try to trip you up. If you show up and do the work, you'll do well in the class.

She uses lots of real world examples. If you read textbook and follow her study guide she gives, you can do well and learn a lot.

Really enjoyed Prof J - Her lectures were very current and she tied concepts to actual applications which was great! Very fair -never took any sides but presented pros/cons to different types of thinking - learned a lot!

Johanek is an excellent instructor who brings alot of her own experience into the classroom. Very intelligent and current in her field - Engaging instructor - keeps you on your toes - Great sense of humor - Always there if you need her - Highly recommend her -

Prof. Lapuka takes the time to learn every student's name... but beware of cold calling. All of his lectures are interactive but can be repetitive. He takes forever to add things to the grade book and there are only 3 exams that count for the majority of your grade. If you pay attention in class, you will do very well. Overall he's a good guy.
