Super friendly guy who means very well and wants the best for his students. A lot of concepts in class could've been explained more in-depth-I don't feel like I gained much from taking his class. He is also a very slow grader which can be frustrating, but his grading is fair. Exams are concept-heavy and require a lot of application.

Sawhill is why I am a marketing major today. He presents a lot of material but does so in an easy to understand manner. He also has a great personality and always has a smile on his face. Thank you Prof. Sawhill!

Initially seemed like a good professor to me. Seemed to prioritize generous, understanding, brought in treatshis dog to class for fun. Lecture slides and lecturing abilities could be better. After awhile, his passive aggressiveness and impatience begins to show and he tends to cut you off if he thinks your point will be incorrect. Grading is slow.

I would not suggest taking MKT370 unless Sawhill is teaching it. He's a fantastic professor and you learn a lot in his class. His exams are tough and his assignments take some time, but he gave us a generous curve.

The definition of passive aggressive. He tries hard to win you over and markets himself with candies and his dog in class but it's all acting. The type of professor that sugar coats and sets the expectation high and then delivers low without much explanation or compromise. Any sort of disagreement will expose his extreme passive aggression. Rude.

Fantastic lecturer who really cares about his students. I was struggling and he was more than willing to help me pull through. His class is the only one that I actually WANT to go to - and I'm not even a marketing major, I'm a finance major.

What a fun class. Stress free, the projects were fun, and I loved the simulation that lasted the whole semester. He's eager to help you with any problems, and lectures well. Couldn't recommend him enough.

It's actually an interesting class, and Sawhill shows videos a lot and even brings his dog sometimes. There's an average amount of work, but it's not terrible. Tests can be pretty tough, but the curve is very helpful. He can sometimes be very passive aggressive, but overall, it's worth taking the course

Really smart, and you can definitely tell he puts a lot of work into grading assignments (writing a page response to each of case for all of his sections). Really good at putting annoying wustl kids in their place during case discussions. Understands that there are several possibly correct answers, but not afraid to shoot you down if your wrong.
