Professor Bleeke is incredible!

Loved Bleeke, sad to see him leave. Somewhat old-school in his lectures, but really comprehensive if you can pay attention all the way through the equation derivations.nQuizzes were not that bad, exams were mostly problems we'd seen before somewhere.

If anyone tries to tell you that 112 is 'way easier than 111 or 106' is LYINGGGGG. It's hard. That being said, it is an advanced GenChem class, so what would you expect? The quizzes are heinous but the exams are do-able.

Bleeke literally made no sense during lectures. He would start at one place and would just end up at some entirely different place with little to no explanation.

I like fournier a lot. the content of 112 is just less interesting than 111. But the exams are still pretty easy and you derive a lot of cool relationships and equations.

Lame class. Not cool or fun like 111. Not challenging and engaging like 111. This is the ugly step sister of 111. Just kinda a meh class

If you took AP Chem and understood content/got a 5 on the AP Exam, you will be fine. Even if you didn't just do the non graded homework, PLTL, and understand the underlying concepts behind the problems. Conceptual understanding + a good amount of practice is all you need.

Professor Bleeke is the most down-to-earth professor I\'ve had this freshman year. He makes Chemistry enjoyable to learn and his enthusiasm for science is contagious. Whenever we encounter new learning, my friends and I enjoy referencing Professor Bleeke\'s "equation of the day" catchphrase.

He seems like a very passionate guy who cares about his students, but his lectures are so boring and monotone. I fell asleep almost every day in class. However, his lectures are easy to follow and he is accessible to students outside of class. He does a good job of communicating all the necessary material when able to engage students.

Quality: 2Difficulty: 3Bleeke

I like Bleeke as a person; he is very nice and caring. However, his lectures do get confusing oftentimes.

Quality: 3Difficulty: 4Fournier

He is a decent professor, but it is hard to follow up from the 111 professors. The class is difficult, but if you spend enough time outside of class, it is doable.

Fournier was fine. A little on the boring side, and he seemed a bit uncomfortable in help sessions. He struggled with answering questions. Be ready for a letdown after 111A. (Still take 111A/112A over 105/106, unless you are doing taking science courses.)

5/15/2023

Quality: 3Difficulty: 4Fournier

What I come away with from 112 is that Fournier got the job done He wasn't especially charismatic about it and sometimes he needed to go into greater detail, but with work outside of class you can get everything down. I didn't find his office hours to be great because he'd just answer questions curtly and not explain the why or the how of the topic

5/9/2023

Quality: 4Difficulty: 4Fournier

His lectures while some find a little boring are well structured and presented for the most part very clearly. The exams are difficult but not impossible and the grading is pretty fair. This course is challenging but doable and worthwhile

The greatest teacher I've ever had.

nice guy, lectures easy to follow and make note taking effortless. class was easier than 111 but still much more difficult than ap chem imo. but if you do the non graded you will be fine

Bleeke\'s "equation of the day" was always awesome and a great way of getting everyone excited. Lectures could feel monotonous sometimes, but all the information is really important for tests and quizzes. Bleeke genuinely cares about the material and you can tell he finds it interesting and is trying to make it fun. Highly recommend!

Dr. Fournier is an amazing professor. He explains concepts in a straightforward manner, although this is his first time teaching Chem112A. He can derive each formula by starting from the basic principles so that you can thoroughly understand the origin and meaning of each formula rather than just memorizing it. Exams are fair, and it's easy A.

Equations of the day were always the highlights of my day. Lecture could sometimes become a bit dull (lots of scribbling numbers and equations) but for the most part, he seemed like he genuinely cared for his students and wanted us to learn and enjoy learning the material. He put a lot of effort into polleverywhere questions for us to practice.

Nice person, very knowledgeable, but be ready to completely fall asleep by how painfully monotone and boring he is as a lecturer
