This was great class! I can't get over how much I learned and enjoyed going to class. Dr. K cares a lot about students and her lectures are amazing! She's the best!

Grading expectations were sometimes unclear, and I found the feedback on assignments limited. It could be difficult to understand what needed improvement. Some topics received relatively little class time but were still important on exams. There is no organization between TA gradings, with different ones grading vastly differently.

Dr. K's the best. Great teacher that cares about students. Things come up all the time during my internship that I learned in that class! Great lecturer. Stay on top of the readings and the case competition. Best class I've had at WashU.

I wish I could go to the lectures without having to do all the work! Seriously, Kiousis acts like we have no other classes so be prepared for some insane amounts of work and difficult exams. Switching to McKelvey may be easier than taking this class! But it is really informative and interesting.

Such a nice woman. It's hard in the times we live in to measure participation in class at such a high degree, but I get it. Wish her and TAs did more investigation into groups and who was actually doing work. Overall, 10/10 great lecturer, keeps it interesting, brings in cool people. GOAT woman.

She is a great professor, inspiring lectures, caring about students, reasonable amount of work in and out of classroom. Could confuse what is going on in the beginning, but the TAs that she has are great help in addition to Dr.K. Explains a lot, but asks a lot on exams also, so listen carefully for everything that have been told on the lectures.

Dr. K is an amazing person and professor. Her lectures are super engaging and her class feels more like a community than a lecture. However, if you hate reading (like me) tests are super difficult and ultra specific to the long readings she assigns. If you participate during lectures, you'll do fine in the class (there's a big curve)

exams are heavy reading tested, never gets through slides but great lecturer and engaging. lack of organization and you won't know your grade all semester.

I hated this class. Readings were long and excessive and exams asked pointless questions about very specific details from the reading (pointless in that they weren't testing your understanding of the concepts, just your ability to memorize every word from hundreds of pages of readings). Felt like a very unfair class to me.

Fantastic class! Dr. K brings energy and passion to every lecture and to the iconic case competition. She truly cares about students and their success. MGT100 with Dr. K is legendary and one of my most memorable experiences at WashU. Highly recommend!

The readings are excessive, esoteric, useless, and unfocused. A vast amount of topics are covered, none are specified and Kiousis makes it HARDER rather that easier to understand content covered. Expect to never speak to Kiousis directly, as she will always defer questions to TAs instead and be offended when there is any opposition to her opinions.

In the nicest way possible, Dr. K thinks she's smarter than she actually is. I've found her very unwilling to answer any questions and will just immediately refer you to a TA bookslave. If you actually want the professor to help you, you can wait in the 50-person line of brown nosers that never fails to spawn after every... single... lecture. Sigh

Dr. K is probably the best professor you could have for MGT100. She injects a passion not just for business, but also for teaching itself, into each and every one of her lectures. In turn, this energy made every class interesting and engaging. While MGT100 itself is a tough class, Dr. K and the TAs did a great job of providing help when needed.

Definitely a hard course, and the content that you learn will depend on which professor you have. With the case of Kiousis, a lot of the content depended more on readings rather than math, so that was different than professors like Tsolmon. Kiousis was one of the most engaging lecturers that I've ever had, so if you have the chance to take a class with her I'd highly recommend.

This was a great class! Dr. Kiousisis very engaging and cares a lot about students. I loved her lectures and learning about different jobs. I put a lot into the class a s for a lot put of it. A must take for non-business majors!

This class was interesting but looking back I don't think I could tell you one valuable take away other than Case Comp. Kiousis is a much better prof if you take in the spring.

MGT200A is definitely an easy A but I don't really think I learned anything. There is really no homework and you don't need to pay attention in class. I guess you will take out of this class what ever you put into it but you can definitely put in little effort and get an A.

Dr. K is arguably one of the best professors at this school. She is so caring and an incredible lecturer. This course is not easy, but she appreciates and respects those who put in the work and participate. I HIGHLY recommend taking her for MGT 100.

So caring, passionate, inspirational and knowledgable. She had engaging lectures, incredible organization, and great slideshows. Semi-heavy readings, but not unmanageable. Definitely takes a lot of out of class work but it's worth it and tests are curved. I would recommend everyone take a class by Dr. Kiousis

Genuinely one of the kindest, most compassionate professors I've had here. Was told to take the class with her by a friend and it was the best decision I ever made! She seems to actually care about fostering good relationships with students and her class was a breath of fresh air. Love her!!

The test is so hard and the way she gives question is not reasonable at all. There's a free rider in my group, but no follow up was given after reporting the issue.

This is a great class! Dr. Kiousis is an amazing lecturer and the class made me realize I want to major in business. Make sure you go to class and subsection. My subsection TAs were great and helped my group for our case competition project. Get to know them!

The professor is good. But the grading criteria is so vague. Participation matters. If you participate in class, you will get a good grade. It is kinda unfair for students who is shy and don't like to answer questions. Even if they try hard and do well in class, they may not get a good overall grade.

Dr. Kiousis is the best professor I have had at WashU! She is an amazing lecturer and kept me interested even when I had a lot going on. I looked forward to going to her class for every session. Also, the case competition was a great experience! A must take at WashU!!!!!

Good lecturer, but most of the homework assignments in this class seem like busy work. The grading criteria is excessively vague, making it difficult to understand how our work is being evaluated.

Dr. K is a fantastic lecturer! One of the most organized and engaging professors I have had at WashU. She uses a lot of real-world examples which makes her lectures feel more applicable and she encourages people to participate despite it being a somewhat large class. Attendance is a must and prepare for a lot of quizzes, but overall great class.

Dr. Kiousis was a great professor. Our case competition on Disney (not Tesla like the other review said, that was a different professor) and it was really fun! I learned so much! I wish other professors cared about students as much as she does. She inspired me to study business.

If I could give her a 2.5 I would, because she's just alright. Way too much outside work. Class was disorganized and run by TAs. Lectures could be learned by just reviewing the slides. Tests were structured around specific material and were so obfuscating! She is, however, a nice person. I wish she had more office hours and accessible outside class

Class is really well organized, uses a lot of practical real-world examples, and she makes the material accessible. If you put in the work, you'll do well in the class. She definitely cares about students learning the material and wants us to succeed. Great class overall.

MGT200A. Dr. Kiousis is the best, most inspirational teacher at WashU. Her passion for her job is palpable. She prepares well for lectures with engaging graphics (and sometimes music!). Cares deeply about student feedback and loves to hear opinions in class. Take this course if you're curious to test the waters in business and gain life skills.

Dr. Kiousis is always willing to help her students and typically gives really exciting lectures. Definitely make sure to do all of the required reading, and reach out to course assistants for help and you should be all good! This was genuinely one of my favorite courses at WashU.

This was the most valuable I class I have taken at WashU. Dr. Kiousis is a fantastic lecturer and cares about students. The cases were really interesting and everything I learned I used in my internship this summer. I felt like it really gave me an edge over the other interns. Would take another class from Dr. Kiousis any day!

Dr. K really cares about her students. She spent a lot of time with my group and offered a lot of feedback on our group project. She's really great! I will definitely take another class with her.

This is the class in which I've had to do the most busy work, which says a lot since I'm pre-med. A typical week consists of 1+ group projects or homework assignments and about 100+ pages of reading(we had 200 pages due 2 days after an exam). I've heard this is the weed-out of the business school and it is spot on.

I loved this class! Dr K cares a lot about her students and teaches you about really interesting companies. Inspirational teacher who will take time to talk to you about career interests and job prospects. Go to her office hours if you can!

I learned a lot from this class and Professor Kiousis. You study real companies all semester and do a final project on a company you get to choose. It was one of the most valuable classes Ive taken at Olin.

MGT380 is the worst class I've taken at WashU. Uninteresting material, little to no actual discussion, zero expectations or explanations of what assignments are going to look like, very boring lectures. Could not tell you what my grade will be at any given point in the class. Avoid if you can.

Dr. Kiousis was an inspirational teacher. I loved her class! She went beyond all my other professors this spring to make her class engaging online. A must take!

Prof. Kiousis is a NECESSARY professor to have in a WashU business education. She teaches hard work and dedication, but it pays off in the end. The exams are long and difficult, but the homework and case competition balance it out. Participation is key, as she will raise your grade if she believed you spoke up in class.

Dr. K is a decent professor. The lectures are usually interesting and are based on the millions of pages of readings. Lots of homework outside of class--group projects, papers, econ practice questions, etc. She isn't very accessible behind her army of TAs, but the TAs are great.

If you dont do the million readings she assigns, you wont get a good grade since you wont be able to participate in class (you are graded on participation) and the readings make up most the test. overall, she is a very caring and passionate proffessor. i have learnt so much in the class - stuff that doesnt only pertain to buisness.

Taken several classes with Kiousis but they've all been similar quality. Pretty wishy washy non specific content, and she tends to get off topic and ramble. I never took anything away from any of her classes, but I had to take them because they fit into my schedule.

The reading are not logically coherent with her lecture. The workload is absurdly large, and there are a bunch of weird readings just for simple intro to econ. She is a cocky person who loves to stunt the experience she had and being proud of the unreasonable workload. Got no choice but take MGT100 in Bschool. Won't have any class with her.

Do not take business strategy with Professor Kiousis. Great woman, but the class is entirely unstructured, expectations for assignments are never clearly articulated, and the amount of reading she assigns is ridiculous.

She's a very interesting professor who makes class pretty interesting. She REALLY values participation and talking to outside of class for whatever reason will make you stick out in her mind (in a good way). If you're engaged throughout the course, she's willing to negotiate grades. She also really cares about her students what she's teaching.

Dr. Kiousis is truly an inspirational woman and has been my favorite professor at WashU! She's created an incredible environment in Management 100 that engages students from all different backgrounds by constantly incorporating real world content. If you don't take Management 100 with Kiousis, you've missed out on part of your WashU education...

Kiousis is great! She truly cares about her students, which can make a huge difference. I had some life challenges during the semester and she worked with me to make sure I was able to turn in all of the assignments. She is an incredible prof and you'll learn a ton. DEFINITELY take.

I absolutely loved this class and Professor Kiousis! She is a great lecturer and very nice person. If you keep up on the reading and study for the exams, you will do well in the class. You will love the case competition. One of the best experiences of my life! It was because of this class that I am now a business major.

Professor Kiousis is one of my favorite teachers! She is always available to meet in her office and is extremely helpful. The cases are interesting, and she does a good job integrating them into the lectures. The class is straightforward: if you study the material, you will do well.

Loved this class! I learned a ton about real companies. You need to read for class and study for the quizzes. The final project was a lot of work but well worth it. It is a big part of the grade. ... The professor was super nice and helpful!

On the case comp she gave all one person in our group a score much higher than the rest of us, and that person didn't have a lead role. Reached out to her SIX TIMES to understand our grading with her and every time she said she was busy and would try to get on it in a couple weeks. Never got an explanation for our grade. It turned my A into a B.

Take it with another professor if you can. Not really open for discussion; she doesn't take disagreements very well. You don't learn much from this class, other than learning about what companies did in cases. The classes are mere recaps of the cases and not much room or creativity/discussion.

Very caring professor, but disorganized. Class is almost completely case based and involves a lot of participation. Case presentations are fun and competitive. Great class.
