The exams in this class are very fair. He wants you to succeed and is even available outside of office hours to talk. Office hours have been extremely helpful especially on some of the harder problem sets. He posts notes and solutions to homework to canvas which are super beneficial when studying.

I think he was a solid lecturer. The class moved quickly at points but overall he was just a typical math professor.

Professor Nguyen is a sweet, funny guy and you can tell he cares about his students, but he isn't very good at teaching. His lectures were incredibly hard to follow and a lot of people, including myself, would attend other lecturers whenever possible. He also didn't cover everything on the tests in lectures, aside from reviewing the study guide.

Professor Nguyen makes jokes in class, and he is a really sweet person, but he isn't a great professor. He makes many computational and conceptual errors when he is working through problems which makes it hard to follow examples. His lectures are generally hard to follow and even harder to comprehend. Many people went to other professors' lectures

He's a pretty funny and sweet guy but not the best lecturer. Isn't that great at explaining the material, and most of my real learning came from outside the class. I found the exams to be pretty easy, though I skipped the vast majority of lectures by the end of the semester.

The other lecturers I went to (Thornton and Wick) spent significantly more time explaining the concepts of this course and for most of Nguyen's lectures it felt like he would spend about 5 minutes explaining the concept and the next 45 minutes doing practice problems with little explanation as to what he was doing. Seems nice but not a good prof

I love this man with all of my heart and I know he feels the same about each and every one of us. Just don't try to correct something super trivial or he will make you feel foolish. But he is a massive jokester and always makes us laugh and warms our hearts with his. Please take a class with this man, you will not regret it.
